Audio signal

Is there a way to see if a show is broadcast in 5.1 surround or stereo (show info, guide, etc)?

The sound on uverse doesn't seem as good as with my previous cable provider (not as loud or detailed).

Push the ATT Button (top left) then the power on and make sure the volume shows "25" for the reveiver then go back to TV power onto control your tv volume..
