speed increasesWould appreciate if someone would post when they notice the speed increases so we can all reset our modems.

Will do! I plan on calling tech support tonight after midnight to see if they can provision my modem with the new speeds, if so...I'll spread the word!

No difference for me right now. Still getting 25/2 after a reset.
But we now have WGBH, Jewish Broadcasting Network (?!) and a $7 a month fee increase... |

At 8pm on the 2nd I rebooted my modem and did a speed test no change in speed her in NE CT. |

I had to call their support number--took about a minute and the new speeds were active on my modem.
If you don't have the new speeds yet (Maryand) call the support number and they will gladly reboot and reset your modem while you speak with them. |

Chatted with a rep online, said no date. Showed him the link on dslreports, said he would reboot my modem, and that was it. No change. |

No update here in Maryland (Lexington Park) as well! I just talked with tech support and he could not give me a date when the upgrade will happen. |

Not to hijack, but if anyone else is getting speeds that are all over the place. I have been tracking an issue with wildly varying speeds mostly occurring during peak times. It started just recently. Successive tests would yields were from 2 Mbps all the way up to full speed and everywhere in between.
Tonight I finally go through to a good rep that said they were aware of the issue but had no ETA on the fix. He wouldn't give me any other details other than "node work" was being performed. Not sure of how widespread the effects are , but I'm in MD. |

I'm in Lexington Park, MD and I got the new speeds after I called tech support and they reset my modem from their end. The number I called is 877 817 8002.
I'm supposed to be getting 15 down, and I've been consistently getting 16.5 down all day since I called. |

Metrocast was supporting 25 down at the end of last year at least in the NH system. The Ultra tier is supposed to be 35 down starting this month -- but I haven't seen it yet.
The Metrocast NH Facebook page has a post from Metro saying it's scheduled for January but no specific date yet.
I just keep rebooting the modem and running a speedtest to see if it happens.
(I think if you aren't at Ultra tier you can get the speed increase easily -- but it still seems 25 is the cap) |

I rebooted my modem, but was still getting 25mbps down. I opened a support chat and the tech was able to do something, no cable modem reboot required, and now I'm getting 35mbps down.

Maryland here. Had the 12Mb service, went into local office and asked to be upgraded to 35Mb. Drove home and speedtest.net shows 34.2Mb....good enough. |

If you're on Gamer, you should be going up to 35x2 just like ptrowski. I'm also on Gamer, and it's not working for me yet either. |

Right. When I chatted with support last night, I asked if I had to reach out to them to get a new config file. They told me it was not upgraded yet, I pointed to this thread saying NH and MD were active. His response was I will reset your modem and it will drop this chat. I did not see any changes until I posted here. |

I can't complain too much, here in CT we've been Metrocast's favorite child for a long while, we were the first to get so many things, so I can stand to let the other guys have a time in the limelight I suppose... |
