Cannot port back mobile number from Wind to Rogers??

I've been a Rogers user for over 10 years and switched over to Wind last week (going month to month) I ported my Rogers number over to wind mobile.
Now I am contemplating switching back to rogers (simply because of speed reasons)...but I believe that Wind does NOT port back the number to Rogers...Do I have to get a new number when/if I switch back to Rogers? Do I lose my number tha tI've had for 15 years???

Is this correct and is there anything I can do to retain my number?

Was this number a Rogers number originally? Or did you start with a completely different provider and then port to Rogers and then Wind?

Generally speaking, there should be no issues when porting from Wind to Rogers, my friend and former colleague at Rogers does this on a daily basis.

Call Rogers tell them you want to port a number in, give them the number and they will do the rest. Wind doesn't do anything.

It is always the receiving company that does the work.

Thanks for the reply
I originally got the number from Rogers way back around 2003.
I ported it to Wind only last week

Just curious - what city are you in and how bad are your WIND speeds?
