[help] I have a SA 4250HD box, looking for DD 5.1

Hi,
I recently hooked up some bass shakers to my home theater seating, and they work great when watching Blu ray, however, I noticed they don't work when I watch Cable.

I have my SA 4250HD cable box, Blu ray player, and PS3 hooked up to my Denon 591 via HDMI, and then a lone HDMI feeding my Pioneer Pro-111FD plasma. My cable box audio is set to HDMI. The receiver says Dolby Digital, but I suspect ony 2.0, since even with HBO 5.1 programming, my bass shakers aren't engaged.

I don't realy want to run a dedicated HDMI from my cable box to my TV, and either digital oax or toslink to my receiver, since it is easier for my family to do the switching throught the receiver.

Is there any way I can run both HDMI and either digital coax or toslink to my receiver, and get DD 5.1, while still having a lone HDMI cable connected to my TV?

Thanks in advance,

John

Change the cable box audio to digital and see what happens.

Thanks Remy. I don't have either cable lying around, and have to purchase one. Which do you think I'd have better success with?

Either should work. I use Toslink on my SA8300 to my HTS.
