Re: Wireless LAN Controller or WLSE?

I should've elaborated. We use option 66 to allow the phone to pull the config file from cme via tftp. I am not sure where you get the file... I would have to check with our voice guy but I'm not in the office.

Cracked it! Not quite sure which config got it working but I suspect it was adding the TFTP server (the CME) IP address to the handsets under the network config setting. I added the native VLAN ip address of the CME as a secondary TFTP Server address and both phones popped up on the CME really quickly. One DN and one ephone mac-address later and I had wireless calls between the two handsets. I will brick one of the handsets tomorrow to pin down exactly what was needed to get it working.

Now I can at least show the project manager that we can route calls. Imagine how pleased he will be when I tell him I have a phone system on which telephone calls can be placed and received...

I'd than to thank you guys for replying to my plea for help. It really is very much appreciated. I will no doubt be back with more questions as I get deeper in to the whole CME / wireless phone set up. But now it's time for a celebratory cup of tea!
