Have had this 7216-2 500GB box for about a week and half and it has crashed three times.
Twice while pulling up video on demand when I selected a TV show to play it crashed and reset the box. The third time while doing TV show search to scheduled the unit crashed.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to prevent this?
its happening because Motorola straight up sucks. ask for a different box. it will happen again maybe 3 times this year, but its better than 3 times a week. i still have to wait almost a minute just to get the guide up or change a channel when i first power up the box. i've learned to be patient with it. good luck. -- ~ FiOS ~ * UltimateHD * QIP7232-2 * 35/35rev.G * iPhone 5 64GB W *
Box never powers down. All it ever does is just shut off the video and audio. Try leaving the box on and just turning the TV off to see if you see any performance difference.
reply to crgauth you are correct, it never powers down. but out of habit when i turn off the tv, i turn off the stb but even when i leave the stb on overnight and try to switch a station in the morning.........delay.............. also want to point out that i have a 7232 and not the 7216 -- ~ FiOS ~ * UltimateHD * QIP7232-2 * 35/35rev.G * iPhone 5 64GB W *
