Curbside Tree Demo.

Does anyone know the process to remove a curbside, city owned tree who's roots have begun to affect the foundation and structural integrity of a property?

Call 311 and file a complaint, they should send someone out to take down the tree. I believe fixing the sidewalk is the homeowners responsibility tho.

Anybody know of options for taking down a tree in a backyard?

I tried placing a service request via 311 link provided. I was told they don't do trees on backyards.

It's a big tree

You'd have to call a tree removal service. Big bucks for a big tree.

Problem with this tree is that it's planted in the "right of way" section between my backyard and a parking lot attached to a bank. It's next to the utility pole.

Over the years the tree decided to bond with the metal fence that marks the end of my property and the beginning of the bank's by leaning over it. These past two major storms that swept through the city has made it desirable to eliminate the tree altogether.

Can't tell if the tree is our problem or the bank's, and after asking the bank to take down the tree we've been met with silence and inaction.

That's just it. The tree is not in my yard, it's on their parking lot wall that divides the end of my property lot and theirs. It has grown over the years to breach my yard.
