Always going after small fish

Notice how they went after ovation and current both which are not owned by some big player. If they really cared about cost there are some channels owned by DIsney, Viacom etc.. which have low ratings and they could drop but of course they can't or won't do that. On a side note Current tv had terrible programming not sure how folks could watch that for more than 10 minutes. I think every time I tuned to it they had that Walmart documentary on.

Their contracts with Disney and Viacom obligate them to carry those channels. They could live without them, but not without ESPN, Comedy, etc.

Not to mention Al Jazeera offers carriage of their signal for free. You can watch for it for free on the Galaxy 19 satellite. It's one of the few networks which is intentionally left unencrypted.

They aren't doing this to save money. They are doing this purely to censor the network.

Conservatives watch Fox News, Liberals watch MSNBC and then there's CNN. Does Al-Jazeera really think they can get a reasonable viewer base in the US?

It's not like people are making a stink to providers to carry the channel.
