Stamford, CT | Effective Wednesday, January 16, 2013, Cablevision will launch MundoFox HD in the Broadcast Basic package. MundoFox HD is a Spanish-language television network that will produce a weekday evening news program as well as a half-hour newscast. MundoFox will also include sports programming from Fox Deportes, including soccer, major league baseball and boxing events. It will also feature a signature format “teleseries”, which compared to traditional Spanish TV telenovelas have fewer episodes and emphasize more action-oriented storylines and diverse locations. MundoFox HD is a true High Definition simulcast of MundoFox in standard definition.
