I'd check this also.

On my first boot up with my Z77 board, the MB defaulted the RAM to 1333. I had t manually set it to 1600.

For windows and video card. Did you change the power saving settings? I know Nvidia Control Panel has one.

For the bios, Primary Display. Is it set to PEG? Have you disable iGPU? On the NB PCIe Configuration, set it to Gen3 for both.

For the Mainboard, You did plug the video card close slot to the CPU right? PCIe x16_1 slot?

Also for the mainboard, you did use the ESP12v 4pin? Instead of just 2pin. Upper left corner of the mainboard.

You gotta have a driver/firmware problem somewhere. You should be flying along with that setup.

Yeah, just downloaded new ones today.

Well, I will do a whole new fresh install now, and we'll see whats gonna happen

Yeah...

I usually don't rely much on WEI, but it actually takes longer for windows to boot, and Corel Photo Paint takes about 15 seconds to open.
It used to take....none...
I haven't installed another programs, so I cant compare, but I will let you know

Kept the RAM, replaced MoBo with Asus Sabertooth Z77 and CPU with Intel Core i7 3770K Quad-Core 3.5Ghz CPU (UNLOCKED)

All the other hardware in the computer stayed the same

Installed newest drivers from ASUS site, and this computer is actually slower?!?!

Drivers were installed in following order, if it matters:

1) Intel Chipset drivers

2) Video card

3) Network

The rest, I just went trough device manager, and manually updated drivers.

My CPU, RAM and graphics scores in WEI are lower, but I can actually see that a lot of programs are opening slower, and windows boot takes longer.

What am I doing wrong?
