2wire 2701 no internet connection help!

anotherdslus join:2013-01-03 Roswell, GA	2wire 2701 no internet connection help! hi, so i started using the 2wire2701 gateway and i have att dsl and there is no connection the internet at all. i cannot go to the homeportal either. i went to cmd and typed ipconfig /all and it says that dns suffix is invalid. please help

When you typed 'ipconfig -all' what was reported for the gateway IP address? I believe AT&T 2Wires use 192.168.1.254 by default.
