Just wanted to thank Start for a (relatively) smooth transition to my new cable broadband service.
Was previously a long-time TekSavvy customer (5+ years), got fed up waiting for the cable POI that never came. Price is roughly the same and although I no longer have unlimited bandwidth or a static IP, the speed boost is through the roof (at least compared to a paltry 4.5Mbps on a 6M profile).
Had some issues with the modem install (broke my plastic), but that's also solved to my satisfaction (well, still waiting on replacement modem or credit).
One of your agents called me to say that Rogers will replace the modem. The Rogers supervisor that was at my house said that they didn't use the DCM476. I hope I'm getting a DOCSIS 3.0 modem that has 8 downstream channels.. and not the older 4 channel like a Motorola SB6120. If I'm getting a replacement DCM476, all the better.
