I believe both those topics were BEFORE I got my Zoom modem because of Charter messing up those SB6120 modems firmware. That was right around the end March or April last year, I think. That first link was mid March last year and the other was from 2011.
As Chubbysumo says in that first topic also, "just use different DNS servers, and the problem goes away." I have NEVER used Charters DNS, so I might have not even looked at that link for opting out.

kudos:2 | Guess I've been lucky. I use Charter's DNS servers normally, and I've never had that switching problem before or after my last modem change.
I'm using SeaMonkey's browser and a Moto SB6121 modem now. |
