Hey Diskace are you avaible anywhere in ontario? i am on a 25/10 currently thinking about joining you on 15/1 w/ the 250 gig cap and calling it a Day You axe the dryloop etc.. i am paying 80 a month for the last year and my isp is not even opposeing disclosure so not happy P:) curious what your policy on those matters is, Log retention and if you know if u would at least oppose disclosure I don;t expect u to do it all but this roll over and die method is not pleasing to me and so my wallet speaks P:)

I'm keeping the old rate though. Currently 60Mbit/s with 2 x 75gb blocks. Was hoping there is something better like cheaper price for the 500gb. Once you've tasted the fast speed of 60Mbit/s, it's hard to switch to lower speed than 30Mbit/s. I go over a little bit of 400gb like around 10gb so it comes back same thing in this case. But holding below, it still fits my budget.

It does from what I see. Click on the plan to expand it and click on the Features tab. I see "Unlimited from 2AM to 12PM" listed as a feature.

From the posts I've see so far it does NOT seem clear to me if new EBOX customers would pay the dryloop on the 25/10 VDSL package. I'd really like to see some clarity on this. Thanks!

Also does the monthly modem rental price decrease after the one year contract or something? This seems really strange and yes I've read the other response in the thread about the cost recovery of this modem fee.

That's for DSL, not cable.

SpeedCable Extreme 60 is back on track. A new condition for this product is that we DO NOT guarantee the speed. It will be advertised as up to 60 Mbits.

Could you explain a little what that means...???
Thanks

This means that you will get 60 mb connection but the speed is not guaranteed. If someday for a reason the network is congested and you get 30 mb you cant blame it on them.

I know that. I was responding to his question about the 25/10 DSL package.

Any definitive answer on this?

The EBox announcement for Free Dry Loop only mentions the "ADSL FTTN" plans, but the website for both Ontario and Quebec 25/10 VDSL both DO say "FREE DRY LOOP".

edit: added "ADSL" to "ADSL FTTN"; and removed my 'assumption'.

Hi,

I'm currently on Rogers Cable in Toronto and planning to switch. I'm interested in the DSL Speedline 15 package.

Does anyone have any experience from Toronto? I cannot find any reviews specifically for users in Ontario.

For existing customers:

Dryloop is free on FTTN 7 / 15 / 25

Upgrade from 7/15 to 25 is 85$
Downgrade from 25 to 15/7 is 85$

Change speed 7 -> 15 is 25$
Change speed 15 -> 7 is 25$

Upgrade from Legacy 6 to any FTTN (7/15/25) is 85$

New client is:

50$ install when you buy a modem
70$ if you don't buy a modem

+ the plan

Dryloop is free on DSL network? I still pay it on one location. We need to call to have it free? This location is on the outdated Bell network (ATM).

Dryloop is free for a new account, a new order with bell. It is only free with FTTN 7/15/25.

That won't work as old accounts are NOT on FTTN, since eBox just started offering FTTN.

NEW subscriptions, ONLY ON FTTN service (if available), get free dry loop.

Maybe unsubscribe from DSL 6, and re-open a FTTN 7 account?

That would work, we can disconnect the current service and reconnect a new FTTN 7,15 or 25/10.

There will be the installation cost which can be 85$ or 49.95$ with modem purchase/rental (at the time we order the installation).
