You're calling 1-800-COM-CAST? I get a tech within minutes. |

Comcast Customer Service may have been a bit stressed-out - see my post in another thread today: » Re: Comcast Outgoing Mail Down in Chicagoland? |

Not only that, he is in MI. The call centers that take calls for MI also take them for AR. Parts of their service have been out since December 25th due to the storm that rolled through that day. People in that area still calling in and even though they get an automated message advising them it is being worked on stay on the phone making it longer wait times for others. |

That's nothing I sat for an hour and 47 minutes before someone picked up and she could barely speak English and got nothing accomplished. |

yeah they can be pretty bad the other day i called and i got transferred 4 times and then they sent me to the buisness class support by accident and then they restart the whole thing after that ugh
then when I got someone, it was some sassy lady and the second I said I don't like their solution they asked if I wanted to cancel my service. I asked if I could talk to someone else and they said no.
those people need to get fired asap lol |

The Minnesota service center has been closed and calls are going to service centers in Texas and Washington State. Currently most calls are going to outsourcers. Good luck. |

Their tech support is non-existent. They always play the blame customer owned equipment game when it is clearly their service that is acting up.
I now do most of my troubleshooting on my own (and I've purchased cable tools at Lowe's Depot). I redid the line going to the living room TV (wire was as old as the house) and that seemed to bring the signal quality up.
When I schedule a truck roll, I always ask them to put in the work order to send a Comcast employed tech. |

Going to try again today and will let everyone know how it goes. |

I asked if I could talk to someone else and they said no. I have been extremely lucky with Comcast CS to date, however, people are people...the good, the bad, and the ugly, eh? If I got someone like that, I would simply terminate the call and redial. Life is too short to deal with someone who is obviously having a bad day... Not to let Comcast off the hook, but it is safe to say that the woman involved was not following any of Comcast's customer service guidelines. |

Better luck today. Waited 5 minutes and got through and bill problem was resolved. It still does not excuse them for not getting connected yesterday. I don't think there is anyone who would not get angry when not getting service after trying for an hour. |
