 | [NE] Upload speed Drop since channel bonding I recently noticed that Cox has started doing upstream channel bonding (4) in our area. After they started doing this, my upload speed has tanked. I can't even reach 30% of my total upload speed. My DL speeds are unaffected. My cable is also unaffected. I have tried resetting all components, removing all splitters, and direct connection to modem, with no luck. Modem: Moto SB6120 Router: Netgear WNR3500L Speed Tier: Premier 22/3 Signal Levels: »img69.imageshack.us/img69/9159/m···atus.png Speed Test: »www.speedtest.net/result/2414190441.png Connection is wired Gigabit to router/modem.
Hope I this is posted right, and I hope someone can help me with this. I like to stream my gaming, but until its resolved, I can't. Thanks Logs:

 | said by dvd536:how about losing the 6120 and replacing it with a cisco 3010 d3 modem. Why though? I haven't had a single problem with this modem since day 1. Are you saying its bad? I would like to have a definitive answer before I shell out $100+ for a new modem. |
 | I doubt its your modem. Looks to me like a signal issue you are are on the high side on your downstream power levels. +15 is the max. Do you just have internet? |
 | No. We have digital cable though Cox with 1 HD Box, no DVR. We do have a cable booster on the lines. It plugs into the outlet in the house, runs to the outside box. I have the cable lines setup so that the main drop is split 1-2, for the modem & TVs.
I noticed the high DS power too, but would that cause me to have such terrible upload speeds? |
 | reply to raven2510 I've seen nothing but great, consistent, speeds after upgrading to a D3 modem. I highly suggest it.
I'm in Papillion and my speed tests are 3.0-3.5Mb/s for upload. My download is consistently (it's creepy how consistent this is) 30.0Mb/s. |

I'm in Papillion and my speed tests are 3.0-3.5Mb/s for upload. My download is consistently (it's creepy how consistent this is) 30.0Mb/s. My modem is D3. I live in Millard. I still can't get higher than .3-.5Mb/s. I have tried everything thats stated on this forum. I just don't get why I have no upload. With my upload this low, its slowing down my browser too. I wish I could figure this out. |
 | have you had a tech out? my signals were worse and I'm getting 30 d and 13 on premiere in Omaha with a Motorola SBG6580 gateway. |
 | Not yet. Was trying to see if it was on my end before I have them come out. |
 | Ok, so I went and checked all the splitters in our box again. They look fine. I noticed that the cox installed the cable line amp before the modem splitter. I decided to switch it to this... Drop-->modem & Amp These are my new signals, they are alot better...but I still am having the terrible upload problems. Can't get over .7 still. »img594.imageshack.us/img594/4954···2655.png
So at this point, should I just bite the bullet and call Cox then? |
 | On Ultimate plan I get 60-65 mb/s downstream & 10-11 mb/s upstream west of Millard |
