Re: [D3] I get locked out of my account when trying to play D3 Using the authenticator is not as bad as you think. If you use the same PC to play all the time, like I do, the code is set up to know that (via IP maybe?) and to only ask you to type in the code every once in a while, not every single time. Besides it's only 6 digits to type, I keep it in my desk's drawers. |

I have it for every time since it is safer. -- Judge a man by the trials of his shield, not the empty reaping of his sword. |

 | reply to Krisnatharok The Authenticator is a proven method to prevent unauthorized access to you battle.net account. I used the free iOS authenticator app (which uses 8 characters as opposed to the 6 character little device) and never had ANY account issues.
If you aren't smart enough to protect your own account then you are putting yourself in a position to be hacked or have your account compromised. You can't blame Blizzard for providing you multiple means to secure your account and not using it. |

 | reply to pandora You are a GM of two guilds and not using an authenticator?
I'd /gquit that guild the second I heard that. -- How lucky am I to have known someone who is so hard to say good-bye to. |

It doesn't get any easier to secure your account. I take it the one they sent you was free? |
