A 7" tablet and a phone is not that much stuff. Get yourself a small tote that you can put around your shoulder and carry them with you wherever you go. No one's going to look at you funny. They make small totes that are just big enough for a 7" tablet and a phone. SwissGear makes some... all zippered up with a sling, etc.
