Re: Hospital Stay - How Do You Protect Your Gadgets?
I went through the hip replacement thing a year and a half ago. Don't take your things with you when you check in. You probably won't be in your room until after surgery anyway.
Have a family member or friend bring it to your room after your surgery. As stated above, have it in a zip bag so it's all in one place and easily secreted away in the room.
I was only in the hospital for three days. Because I had help at home, they discharged me to home and the physical therapist came to me. If I hadn't had that, they would have moved me to a rehab place instead. If you go that route, then you'll have the same concerns for your equipment there.
