Just today when using Thunderbird....can not send emails. I can receive emails ok. Double checked my smtp settings... mail.mediacombb.net port ssl 465 Security and authentication Use name and password is checked
Doubled check my account email address and password. I am also able to send and receive using mediacom's web email service. The tech said that if I can do that..then the issue is on my end...lol Even setup a Windows live email account and still get error msg when sending.
I called Tech support..explained......then transferred to another tech support....double checked settings.....He stated that I would need to sign up for their premium service for 59.00.....I said no way. Told them to get it fixed on their end or I will cancel service and use my Att dsl account.
Its fixed now. I didn't do anything on my end......maybe tech support waved their magic wand. Definitely was not paying for their Premium Tech support.
