Re: Has Shaw become too Asymmetrical and is now falling behind

The service was very good that I had. I prefer the Optik TV over a Shaw HD. Seems a lot more crisp to me, personally. I can't get over the problems with the Actiontec device. Like I said, all TV and internet comes to a crashing halt if there is an issue. Maybe I just had terrible luck, but 3 Actiontec's in a little less than 6 months is mind blowing. Never once in the 10 years I've had my Shaw have I had a modem completely stop. Had a few bad ones, but never went without internet and tv for 4 days. Huge bummer doesn't offer a standalone modem for the Internet only users. For Optik, use a different device to provide the TV, and seperate for the internet. Atleast you don't loose both if the Actiontec fails.
