[HSI] Slow Internet and High Uncorrectable codewords

With Charter direct gone, who do we direct these issues? I know calling their support is typically a waste of time.

My charter internet has been running around 2 Mbps. Sometimes when I go to 192.168.100.1 and look at the signal page, it isn't doing channel bonding. If I reboot the cable modem, it comes back and I see the "normal" 83/81/82/84 downstreams. However, there is variance in the power levels (5 dBmV, -2 dBmV, 3 dBmV and 6 dBmV respectively).

After about 10 minutes of Cable Modem use, it's very interesting that the total uncorrectable codewords are

Channel ID = 83, 772
Channel ID = 81, 717534
Channel ID = 82, 1043
Channel ID = 84, 678

Methinks something is up with channel 81.

In this new world of no charter direct, what's the best approach to get this resolved?

You only have three options, contact them via phone, contact them via chat, or go to you local office.

Good luck, and also, don't forget to ask for a credit, since you aren't getting what you paid for.
