Kadri is the Leafs best player...2nd in team points (1 behind Kessel), 2nd in team +/- (4 behind Fraser)...tied with team lead for PPG (with van Riemsdyk), and usually draws 1-2 penalties every game...he is shifty on his feet, and often keeps himself moving, which often draws other players to hold him, hook him, or trip him (even accidentally).

check the combined +/- on the top 3 lines:

Kessel/Bozak/JVR: -15
Grabovski/Kulemin/Komarov: -14
Frattin/MacArthur/Kadri: +25

now, part of that will be that the Leafs 3rd line is likely much quicker and more talented than other teams 3rd lines, but still, that's a pretty substantial disparity...imagine if all three lines could be in the positive (even if the top two lines were at an even 0)??...there would likely be 5 wins right there.

it's why i have been tooting his horn for the past few years...he's always been a hell of a good player.

Kulemin needs to go. He's neither a checking forward nor a goal scorer. Grabs can still be effective, it's just that he feels like he's the only one on his line who can create offensive chances, which is most likely true. So, he constantly tries to go 1 on 5.

I'm glad Steckel is gone. He truly was invisible out there. That also clears up room for Lupul to come back.

The jets are going to jump ahead of us and we are going to fall out of the playoffs. The season has reached the half way point and it's about this time the Leafs fall apart and stink up the place.

Real good 3rd period. Leafs have had great chances. The Jets may be the best stick checking team in the NHL. Their D is playing very well.

Why the hell is Colton Orr playing with Lupul and Kadri? I like putting Frattin with Grabo, but Orr on that line leaves me shaking my head.

4-4 going to OT... Big comeback to just get there after being down 4-1... Hope we can pick up the extra point.

Thinking about it more, I'd rather have McClement with Kadri and Lupul. At least Mac digs hard and doesn't have hands of complete stone.

Leafs lose in SO, but at least it was somewhat entertaining going like 9 or 10 rounds with like 5 posts

So the Leafs fall to 8th with this lost and the Jets move to 7th with 32 points each. the Jets have a game in hand on the leafs and is why they move to 7th.
