FiReSTaRT posted : Thanks for the heads up. I got the same from the manufacturer - they e-mailed me overnight, which means 8951/8961 are non-starters. Might as well use the $20 8616/8816.

Is there anything readily available from the usual suspects that still runs bcm?
--
If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.
TP-Link 8xx1 modems?

FiReSTaRT posted : TP-Link has been phasing out the 0's and bringing in the 1's so the 8950 is being replaced with 8951, 8960 with 8961, etc etc etc.. Do the 1's run the same modem chipsets as their 0 counterparts? I'd hate to recommend for someone to buy the 8951/8961 and later find out that it has the same chipset as the 8x16's.
--
If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.
