Defiance is a new mmo by Trion. They produce the MMO Rift. What makes Defiance different is that it will also be a weekly TV series on the SyFy chann.
The "back story" [what I know of it], is that Earth was invaded by an Alien Race. That war devastated the earth, and those left alive now have to "pick up the pieces".
I have been playing this for the past few days.... I know it is an alpha so I realize there will be a lot more added later.... but as for now, I am not that excited about it.
There is not a lot of instructions on basic game mechanics... like most MMOs will show you in the first few areas/levels...
Wait and see I suppose.

Whatever Titan is, is not Starcraft. Blizzard had said it was going to be a completely different (new) franchise with a new story, new characters, new theme, new everything.
