 | What is the difference between these Arris modems? The Arris WBM760A and the Arris TM722G? From what I see, they both look identical. Is one preferable over the other? |

The major difference is the Arris TM722G is an eMTA, while the Arris WBM760A is just a "standard" cable modem (see above pictures). The TM722G has the additional 2 telephone jacks on the back, where the WBM760A only has power, coax, USB, and CAT5.
The eMTA allows you to utilize Comcast's Digital Voice Service.
I currently have the TM722G. So far, have not had any problems with it (been using it since November 27, 2012).

 | reply to plencnerb Incorrect answer. The 722 has a telephone dual-line built in for users with both net and phone. The 760 is for users without phone and has the added USB ability. |

I indicated it had an additional 2 telephone jacks, along with the rest of the items that the WBMA760A have.
I will admit that you got me on the USB Ability, as the TM722G does not have that. I did not indicate that in my reply. Of the two, only the WBM760A has the option to connect to it via USB.
