Re: [NFL] Divisional Playoff Weekend

said by Rook008:

The side of the field is irrelevant in the original pic. It's just one timeout for Seattle, two for Atlanta.

I guess I am still confused here...why then does it show two at each end for ATL and one at each end for SEA?

Ok, but what position would you like to play...like if you had a choice.

If I had to pick just one...WR

That would be my pick too...WR.

for yourself?

Question for everyone...

If you were a pro football player what position would you like to play?

I'd like to play the position that gets hit the least, I like my brain to be healthy.

Yeah, I would be a better pass rusher but if I could pick a position it would be WR...so cool to catch a ball on a full run and run it into the end zone and then get to dance.

At the risk of repeating myself - The graphic is a time-line, to be read from top to bottoml

It's just the way the lines are labeled, I guess.
Rockotman's reading is correct.

Thanks, but you give me too much credit, as my performance in the playoff poll shows.

Yeah, but a bad penalty keeps the NE drive going.

Yeah, me too. Put me down for kicker.

I'd prefer to do the hitting. Put me down for "inside linebacker".

Beauty of that is that if you do get hit, its roughing the kicker better than 95% of the time

But you become the goat and the butt of all jokes when you have an "epic fail" moment as you whiff trying to tackle the punt/kick-off returner that takes it to the house.

True, but the question I'd ask is why are the coverage guys leaving the tackling to the kicker?

True, but as long as you avoid a Peanuts (Charlie Brown & Lucy) type event all can be forgiven when you nail the game winner

The coverage guys generally don't look like a moron as they miss the tackle. Kickers usually do.

What a weekend! That was football, and when I thought the Pats were going to walk away, the Texans made it a game.

The context shift is the joke. I think it's funny as Hell!

I played DE in high school and it was a lot of fun. I'm not big enough to play that position in the pros but that's what I'd like to play were it possible.

Russell Wilson - ROY. That kid is incredible.

Peyton Manning made me eat my words. Absolutely pathetic down the stretch. How do you kneel with 30ish seconds and 2 timeouts? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Then the pick in OT??

This weekend: Tom Brady most playoff wins in History. Manning most playoff loses in history, tied with Favre.

Jim Harbaugh made the right decision in benching ALex Smith for Kaepernick. WIn or lose this weekend they made it where they were last year, and Kaep will only get better. Plus they can trade Smith to plenty of QB needy teams.

Late to the party but I'll have to say the the SEA ATL game was one of the best I've ever watched.

Those 31 seconds were heartbreaking for us in the PNW and I blame it squarely on poor play calling (armchair sports guru drew... ha!)

That said, I love our prospects for next year. I am rooting for a Harbaughbowl this year. The amount of rage and hilarious camera shots during the game would be amazing to watch.

I want the 49ers to win it all though... Kaepernick is doing something great.

Talk currently here in NY has Alex Smith quarterbacking the Jets next season.

Why? So Rex can ruin him too?

Has a player ever refused to report to their new team after being traded?
