HBO has ads all the time. I can't turn HBO on without seeing an ad for one of their series or upcoming movies. All the premium channels do this. It is very annoying.

Last time I checked I pay for cable and I see PLENTY of ads. Sometimes they have 30 minute ads. They're called infomercials. usually on at the exact time I'm actually up and want to watch TV.

You pay cable company for delivery of content as well as delivery of new content. Would people pay as much if they only deliverd reruns to your home? On top of this, Hulu Plus customers already pay for their own delivery of the content.

Truth is, the service should be "discounted" (either commercials or fee) as it's "old" content. Same as the stuff on Netflix.

I'd not support the crooks at the movie companies trying to get paid 3 or 4 times for the same content. Not on my dime.

A) Hulu has new content. Also talk about old content. Doesn't TNT show old episodes of NCIS, and Law & Order SVU and the Closer all day? All of which has about 1/3 commercials per hour.

B) Discounted? It's $8 vs $60 for the cheapest plan through my cable provider. I'd say that's discount.

I stand corrected.. Hulu does have some new content. What I was refering to was that this companies already made a buck from the TV shows as they were previously on TV. Hulu puts their TV shows on Hulu about a week later (hence, old content). But the difference between Hulu and Plus (pay) is that you can simply watch these shows easiler then when not paying. This business plan is what helps kill Hulu. For 90% of their content you are paying $8/month to watch shows a few days before non-paying people.
