Electronic Money transfer to US

Hello

I have an American friend who has kindly let me use his credit card to buy something in the US. However, I want to pay him upfront and don't want to mail any cash/check.

What methods do you recommend so I can do this safely and preferably electronically?

Paypal would be very simple.

Western Union, although the fee's are a little steep... Reliable, and quick. I can do it from my bank's website, straight out of my account.

thank you. I am a little surprised there's no Interac equivalent in the US.

+1. Simple, hell more and more vendors take PayPal, the risk is with PayPal not the vendor.

My bank allows me to transfer money that's accepted by most American banks, maybe yours does too?

Some banks in the U.S. have the equivalent of and Interac account with no fee, however anytime you transfer from a bank to an entity outside of the U.S., the only resource is a bank wire, unless you use Paypal. I have mailed checks but they can take 30 days to clear. Keep in mind there are limits to how much money can be transfered out of the U.S. without being investigated _ $10,000..
