Re: W7 boot behavior

Guest account is already turned "Off".

Don't know what "appropriate changes" to make if using the "Start/Run/" method to fit the start sequence.

=============================================

EDIT: Now it is an even bigger mystery. Without me doing anything at all and without changing any settings, W7 is now booting straight to the desktop on "restarts".

W7 is now also booting directly to the desktop even on cold starts after the computer has been shut down and power disconnected.

As said above, whatever caused W7 to self correct is a mystery.

Okay, but if you have an explanation of what might have happened and how or why W7 self corrected, I'd be glad to hear it.

My user account was set up without a password from the very start in hopes of getting a faster boot straight to the desktop.

Now it is doing that, but don't understand why it didn't do so yesterday through several system reboots and cold startups.
