New York, NY | DSL Outage in LES/Chinatown NYC Anyone else without DSL service in the LES/Chinatown area? I've been wihtout service for over a week since 12/28. Customer service tells me that that there is a major outage and the expected resolution date is 1/19. Anyone know more information about this? |

New York, NY | It's dryloop dsl. I've had the same service since 2006 and this is the first time since installation that I've had a real problem. |

Watch that they don't force you to take on a live phone line to get back your dsl, I've heard they've done away with dryloops and its once again a requirement to get dsl service again.  |

There's an exchange cable down in his area, was that area affected by Sandy? |

New York, NY | The area I live in wasn't affected by Sandy as far as I know. I had service immediately after power was restored (pretty much right after the blackout ended on 11/2) until December 28th.
It looks like the exchange cable that is being repaired is located near the Verizon building in lower Manhattan, which was flooded during Sandy. |
