 | [AB] Usage meter not reset for January? Posting from work. My data usage hasn't reset for January and the total usage is combined with all of December. So I'm very close to my limit. Not too worried about going over but I simply don't want my account flagged if and when I do. I called and they had no idea what the issue was but will look into it. Anyone else ever get this? |

 | Don't worry about the limits...
Eventually, maybe sometime this year, the bump-up program will bump up your account to bill you for over-usage, but there have been no details on how this will work.
So basically, don't worry about going over.
If you are in the top 5% of internet users in a busy area, Shaw might bother you. -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

 | Perhaps, but if Shaw is bothered by you, they will bother you. |

 | reply to Shawshaw Interesting. Mine has not reset either, but, until now, I believed it was because I had requested that Shaw modify my billing period to begin on the first of each month. (This was in order to synchronize with my router, which counts daily usage ONLY on a calendar month cycle.)
The concierge techies I spoke with claimed that the change would take a while to be reflected on the usage charts...a matter of days or weeks. And, yes, they all told me not to worry about it, as over-billing is not yet in force. (Nor, by the way, did they seem to have any idea as to when it might be implemented.) |
