Re: [Speed] slow in somerville, ma Greetings Somerville, MA
So a little bit ago I posted something about a problem with the switching across the network and what we went through to find that. (its in the Bethlehem thread). Suffice to say the same fix was applied to Somerville but it had to be backed out shortly after because in this unique hub it triggered another problem. Currently we are working on an alternate fix.
Ill see if I cant track down the next step later this morning and get back to you. -- Bryan Laird RCN Engineering |

Re: [Speed] slow in somerville, ma Sorry RCN, I think it may be time to jump ship. Comcast has 30Mbps w/cable & HBO for $75 - significantly less than I'm paying now.
Who knows if it'll actually be better, but according to the FCC, they're hitting 103% of their actual vs advertised speeds:
which I haven't seen in over a month from RCN.
I've really enjoyed the customer service through the forum, but cheaper and more reliable is knocking on the door. |
|
 | Saw 24Mbps tonight!
will test again in a bit... |
|
 | And back down to 10Mbps. |
