SuperGonz posted : Oh the story I could carry on about this right now....

They have cablecards, but the local Frontier store actually sent my wife to a Verizon outlet when she went to pick a couple of them up.

Long story, very long story, short, they must roll a truck to install the cards in your equipment & as of yesterday, that'll take 2.5 weeks. It took 8 csr & 3 tech support, plus 4 retail store people to figure that out.

EdmondsFios posted : No. Frontier is required by law to provide cable cards when requested. You got a misinformed CSR. If the Tivo doesn't use the M-cards (Series 3+) and only uses the old S-cards, I don't think they have to provide yesterday's technology.

I would call back and try again.

qposner posted : I called Frontier to order fios tv and internet. However, I want to use a Tivo and not their box. The csr said they do not offer cable cards in tis market and if I didn't want their box, I would have to go with Dish. Is this correct? Thanks!
