Closer scrutiny and it looks like that just grabbed someone else's photo to post there. That in and of itself can be a little flaky.

Can they retaliate against me somehow?
diablo1892 posted : Thats what they want you to think.. They don't want you to know you bought a non-legit item or if you even bought anything at all, they just want your money (some places/websites) however alot of them don't do this cause they know they'll loose there business very quickly.

Ebay is all about bidding, maybe you bidded on this item? I don't know much but I know I would'nt be envolved with any bidding via virtually (the internet world) and I would'nt walk into some website and just buy say for an example a game or program that they have up for sale, get it and install it and expect it to work or be something totally different. I take a look at WOT.com first before even browsing that specific website/address but ebay can be dangerous (if your buying from the wrong people) or it can be a safe and relevant browsing website with buying options.
--
HT1000/ BeamID 32/ Power Max plan/ 4 pcs on a D-Link wired switch/ wireless D-Link router with password
Support only the gaming company's that matter the most, pay for something that actually is worth buying
or has a good reason for how much it's worth.

diablo1892 posted : No I'm not an ordinary person that posts on this type of forum on DSLR but I came accross this "They showed a photo of that device, but sent me a much cheaper model of that same manufacturer." yeah this happen to me once before and my brother.. I'm not wanting to cause any trouble, im just saying. Anyway so my brother and I bought our own computer about 2 years ago or so and no it don't got anything to do with ebay I know that but maybe the issue here could be kinda the same.

Here's what happen we bought a pc and we came to find out that the specs were'nt as described in the description.. So my brother calls them up and the manufacture guy says "Yes, sir we install a higher up of that brand" so instead of selling my brother a crappy CPU (for example, and its the one thats described in the description) he goes ahead and installs a better one. This means hes paying for something hes not aware of.. yet.

My point here is, maybe buying the class or brand higher up will give you exactly what your looking for.
--
HT1000/ BeamID 32/ Power Max plan/ 4 pcs on a D-Link wired switch/ wireless D-Link router with password
Support only the gaming company's that matter the most, pay for something that actually is worth buying
or has a good reason for how much it's worth.

How about determine first what you will be able to do if the purchase does not go as planned and work backwards from there. If you know that you are unable to ship an item back, buy locally.
H_T_R_N posted : Have you considered it might just be you? I have read a number of complaints you have posted and to be perfectly honest, I have a hard time believing anyone could targeted as much as you claim. My kids prod me to buy all sorts of shit, last year on Amazon and ebay it was over 10k from cameras to iDevices, scanners, test equipment, amps, signal generators, new and used oscilloscope and anything else you can think of. In my business I purchase shit from e-bay all day long. In the hundred or so transactions last year alone, I didn't have one problem. The only issue I had buying was with a seller on this forum, and I was able to get my money back. The only issue I had selling was because the buyer failed to ready the listing where it said in big bold red letters, that they might be buying a paperweight because I have no way to test test the unit for functionality in the actual unit it goes in. Not everyone is out to fuck you.

Unless of course, this seller had a stellar past performance history until you came along and they decided you were the perfect one to scam.

My advice to you and anyone else dealing on eBay.. before bidding/buying, always review prior feedback - look back to a year or more if possible.
