---------------------------------------------------------------------
==DISCUSSION==
STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL CONTINUE INTO THIS EVENING OVER SOUTHERN
ONTARIO. WIND GUSTS TO 80 KM/H ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE EASTERN SHORES
OF THE GREAT LAKES. WINDS ARE FORECAST TO DIMINISH LATE THIS
EVENING.

IN ADDITION, A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DEVELOPING OVER TEXAS IS EXPECTED
TO TRACK NORTHEAST ACROSS MINNESOTA INTO NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO BY
SATURDAY MORNING. THIS LOW WILL BRING MILD AND FAIRLY MOIST AIR INTO
SOUTHERN ONTARIO.

CURRENT INDICATIONS SUGGEST RAIN FALL AMOUNTS OF 10 TO 20 MM ARE
LIKELY ON FRIDAY FOR MOST REGIONS IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO. THERE IS ALSO
THE POTENTIAL OF FREEZING RAIN FOR EASTERN ONTARIO FRIDAY MORNING,
ESPECIALLY ALONG THE OTTAWA VALLEY INCLUDING THE NATIONAL CAPITAL
REGION. ON SATURDAY THE TEMPERATURES COULD RISE TO DOUBLE DIGITS FOR
MOST REGIONS.

PLEASE MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND WARNINGS FROM ENVIRONMENT
CANADA AT WWW.WEATHEROFFICE.GC.CA

END

If it happened in Toronto they'd call in the army if they got more than 1 cm of snow. Toronto better not get snow, we don't need higher taxes.

Man as far as Canada goes, you guys (Atlantic Canada) really like to suffer.
I remember a New Year's tour I did out to NL, my first and only time out there, and all I could think was how much the moon must look like NL.
St. John's held the nicest people I've met to date in Canada.
Be safe.

Majority of the island has no power. Cold and windy. Storm only half done, and the house is chilled. Overall doing good.

Power is back for us. I have the doors cleared around the house. The driveway hasn't been touched, as I have a 5 foot windrow, and the neighbours across the road have 6 foot windrow. In between it is level with snow.

Thanks for the thoughts. I would much rather be in Cuba with kimmy and Anav

I only wish I lived nearby so I could do the neighbourly thing and assist you removing the snow from your driveway and sidewalk...

When you get a second maybe you could snap some photos of all the snow....

Hang in there Buddy, we all know how tough and resilient Newfies are...
