Oh yeah? Where's this being discussed at? Because over here it's smooth sailing judging from the comments.

I had a problem with one of my browsers crashing ,so I just kept the prior flash dll and that solved it.

But FF seems to be back to normal for me.

This could be the reason why?

I've got to agree with ZZZZZ. My FF 18.0 takes forever to load a page completely. For the first time I installed Chrome. Chrome is really fast, but I'm not used to it. That's the problem. I'm more familiar with FF.

Well crap it's back.......damn it.

It's a slight hesitancy when clicking a login menu or reply ,the cursor doesn't show up for a few seconds..........copy/paste has the same problem, when replying to a post.

This is only happening in FF and only started after doing the 18 update.

I can second that.
Sometimes the cursor takes a long time to load and I've already been typing before I notice.
Real pain.
But it was like that the past few versions also.
I notice sometimes flash player really starts sucking power after having live streams going for awhile

This is the 1st version it has affected..........looks like I'll have to experiment with a new profile and see if it's an extension............what a PITA.

After upgrading to 18.0.1, the problem returns despite the changed setting.

18.0.1 required administrator rights to install, because it came with a "mozilla maintenance service" which appears to be like google's update service.

However, 18 has been, and still is, using 100% of one CPU core, and I cannot get it to stop. Closing all tabs, shutting down addons, and even letting it run in admin for a while hasn't helped. =/ I'm on the verge of reinstalling it from scratch.

[edit] False alarm I guess, restarting system fixed FF's CPU eating problem. I guess something went corrupt elsewhere in the system that threw FF off. This comp is getting too old.

Firefox now installs an optional service called the Mozilla Maintenance Service. This service allows Firefox to install updates without requiring you to click yes in the Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialog.

No thanks!

I have UAC enabled for a reason.

I had to uninstall Firefox from off of my systems ( Win 7 32 bit and Vista 64bit ) because of how slow version 18 had become. I have also reinstalled Pale Moon 15.4 and it's much faster and doesn't have the hang ups as Firefox 18 had.

Before anyone asks about what add-ons i had installed with Firefox, they are the same add-ons i have installed with Pale moon except for one.
