If you mean a 6xxx DVR then yes you will not be able to receive 3 of the 5 HD channels as they are mpeg4 only. However my guess is that Verizon wants your $$$$ and will upgrade your DVR to a 7xxx flavor that supports the new mpeg4 channels for free. |

If you have a 6xxx-series STB and you tune to one of the MPEG4 NHLCI channels, you will receive a prompt for a free upgrade to a 7xxx-series STB. |
