1 edit | Samsung tvs I am looking into getting another tv since I will be moving soon. Right now I have a 40" Samsung 1080p tv. I love it and would buy another Samsung.
The problem I am having is that it seems Samsung only makes tv's with 3 HDMI ports. I have yet to find one with 4 HDMI ports. Right now I am fine with 3 HDMI ports, but in the near future I would need 4. I have looked at a few Sony's and they do have 4 HDMI ports, but I was never a fan of Sony. Do you guys have any recommendations on a tv? 46-50" is the range I am looking at with a price range of $1k-1.2k. -- Mets, Cowboys, Devils |

| said by darcilicious:Or maybe invest in a simple HDMI switch? A lot of reviews have them as hit or miss. A lot of people also complain that they do not work with 1080p devices. There is also a lot of handshake interference. -- Mets, Cowboys, Devils |

| Interesting. I assumed that an HDMI switch would be similar to say an AVR with HDMI inputs -- I've had zero problems with our AVR with multiple HDMI inputs and am only using one HDMI input on our TV. -- ♬ Dragon of good fortune struggles with the trickster Fox ♬ |

| Well I did some more research and it seems that you need a specific HDMI cable if you are going to use a switch. Monoprice has a good video explaining this and my guess is many people do not research before buying HDMI switches.
Here is the video if anyone is interested
