I'm worried about Kesler. I think his career may be a short one due to injuries.

that is kind of what happened to Wendel Clark...he played about 30-40 pounds heavier than he was, and backed down to no one...ever.
interesting factoid...Chuck Norris wears Wendel Clark pyjamas to bed. -- People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

There was that nasty rumour years ago that lots of guys were into Wendel's PJs.

yea, i heard that rumour...there was also the one about Glen Anderson too (same rumour)...in the end, who cares if he was gay...you gonna say something about it to him?
Here's the tv schedule for the week............there's a game on every night, just like the playoffs. -- Sarcasm is the bodys natural defense against stupidity.
lol..........Clark was like the energizer bunny with that right hook.
I forgot how much he did fight..........what a wild man.
Clarke was fearless, full of heart and was a tough son of a bitch...often, he wasn't the biggest dog in the fight, but he wouldn't back down from anyone, anywhere, any time.
while not as "famous", PJ Stock was another great tough guy...always the smallest guy in the fight (5'10" and 190 lbs), but not afraid to throw them against anyone.
Wow and he looks so easy going as a commentator..........I had never seen him fight.
stock was a great fighter...always the smaller sized guy...and really, he likely "lost" or "tied" a lot of fights, but he was almost always giving up 4-5 inches in height (and some reach) and 30-50 pounds...i mean, at 5'10, he is likely smaller than most of us in here...he was forced to retire when he broke his orbital bone in fight though.
his last year in junior:
Games played: 67 Goals: 19 Assists: 42 Points: 62 PIM: 432 -- People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Realistically, he's a better goalie than Schneider, but less consistent (particularly in the post-season). So I'm not surprised that he's playing well. I'm also not sad to see him go, if that's the ultimate outcome. -- "Moving your Tylenol to the low shelf in your medicine cabinet is not the way to prevent children from falling off a stool when reaching for the top shelf." I'm starting to wonder about even trading him now...........we've got no viable backup, unless another goalie is part of the trade.
Sure wouldn't hurt to keep them both to see how it goes for the 1st 2 weeks of the season.
Did you hear Gillis this morning? When asked "on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being imminent trade where do you stand?"
Gillis said "Much closer to 1 than 10!" So Luongo could be here a while.
I was watching the Chicago Wolves play Abbotsford last weekend. Chicago's keeper was Matt Climie while Lack is out hurt. He looked pretty good. I don't see him on the Canucks' depth chart yet he had a Canucks logo on his helmet. Is he Canucks' property???

I believe he is. He signed with the Canucks as a free agent after a couple of years in the Phoenix and Stars organizations. He was undrafted in junior, played in US college, and signed as a UFA out of college. He's 29. -- All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer by the stars All of us do time in the gutter, dreamers turn to look at the cars - Peart / Lifeson / Lee Join Team Helix
Ya I watched that game too..........Climie was great in that game.
I seem to remember hearing that name in games before...at 29,he's no kid but if he can continue to play like that,Lack and him could be great backups. -- Sarcasm is the bodys natural defense against stupidity.
we did the first 8 rounds of our draft during lunch, and guess who one of my goalies is??
LLLLLLUUUUUUOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
i figured he usually has pretty solid regular season stats, so i grabbed him (was able to nab Lundquvist as my other one). -- People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Now you have to wonder about Ballard... buyout maybe? Wait until we see how Garrison meshes with the current group? Could Garrison be another Ballard, full of potential that never gets reached? -- Some hero's wear capes, mine wear combat boots.
