Okay, I laughed out loud at that one. Well played.

Oh my.....that IS a short but nasty road trip!

We've always played well against the Stars and Wings though and
Hawk games are usually close ugly affairs. We made the Preds look
"easy" a few times in the playoffs....but that was "before".

Malhotra is on the IR for the rest of the season. Career over due to that eye injury?

He was our best faceoff man...........someone will have to step in for him.

I think Schroeder has been taking some........another great reason to keep him up.

Ah yes but Manni is so far ahead it's scary. Some of the f/o stats are
skewed in that a guy could take only 9 faceoffs win 6 and be at
66.6%. Like usual with stats it's over the long haul that counts.

Daniel Sedin = 75% -takes them when his brother is kicked out.
Malhotra = 65.3% -full time faceoff man.
Henrik Sedin = 53.9%
Lapierre = 50% -you surprised? I was.
Ebbett = 45.4%
Burrows = 44.4%
Schroeder = 40.4%

You guys who watch all the Canucks' games must have noticed
Manni has a blind spot to his left. At the speed of the game today
you don't have time to turn your head to see to your left or right.
You NEED good peripheral vision now.

Everything I have ever read or heard says Malhotra is a great guy!
Damn sad if his career is over.

Vancouver Sun article about Manny Malhotra. Man oh man I feel for
the guy. I really do hope he stays with the Canucks in some
capacity. Class oozes out every pore!

To be traded he would have to pass an NHL physical and I doubt
very much he could with that bad eye.

There aren't too many GMs who would have even kept him on the team after that injury..........hope he realizes that and stays with the team in some capacity.

The puck was on it's way in with or without Raymond making contact.

And just like that, it's 2-1 Vancouver. Daniel ties Naslund as top scoring Canuck.

Class act by the fans for Henrik....they wouldn't sit down through
that long time between whistles....on their feet cheering for Henrik.

That pass to Burrows was a thing of beauty!

It was great to see Jagr for the first time in my life. He's only played twice in Vancouver since he joined the NHL. Its amazing.

Vancouver was playing some real opposition after the the sad sack Flames and the rest of the awful Northwest division.

I really don't know which games the press are watching when they claim that the Canuck's D-men are playing great............cause the games I'm watching,they're stinking up the place!

They look like WHL players,they can't even block a shot.........and Bieksa and Garrison look lost out there............Schneider had no help on any of those goals.

I'm not a big fan of Garrison....he may have been a great AHL player
but he's a bit over his head in the NHL.

Two of those goals even Schneider admits were soft. On the one
goal it deflected off Bieksa's stick...Schneids didn't have a chance.

I thought Kesler looked damn good for a guy who hasn't played a
game in a year!

I thought Luongo wasn't as sharp as he has been this season.
Kassian is playing like crap. Doesn't move his feet, doesn't make strong plays on the wall and tries to be too cute with the puck. Could see him scratched if Booth is ready to play in Chicago. Directly responsible for the first goal, horrible pass that led to a turnover.
He needs to work on his consistency. Looks a completely different player from the one in the first 6-7 games right now. We need him to be a contributor, even if he's just brings his physical game every night.
Garrison had his best game as a Canuck. Skating better, making stronger plays and taking control of the game instead of letting opponent do it and chasing the play.

This Allen kid is making a name for himself.

I agree with all you said, cap....Kassian looked SO good in the 1st
few games and now the only times you "see" him is on a glaring error.

I thought on the whole Luongo played well but "I" could have scored
with that 5 hole Luo left open!

Garrison did play well....the day after I said he wasn't playing well.
He must be reading this forum.

Kesler is playing like we are 60 games into a full season. I expected
him to struggle for a while. Two games....an assist and a goal.

Nasty road trip now.
