Well I think I'm Happy With Barrie's 150/10 Upgrade!
IDK why I had complained a lot and had nothing but bad service this past month. Just getting the modem was just insane. But for some reason I was rewarded really well and it seems to be constant too. When I download my backup's from my server omg...
reply to Kane Hart Yeah just got 150/10 here last week too. 260Mb/s is just speedboost in action, but even after it "wears off" still getting almost 20 megabytes/second is pretty sweet!
And uploading is awesome too...my upstream is now twice as fast as my downstream was this time last year (5mbit from Teksavvy)
So I guess that means that you are using the Rogers gateway as your router as well. Many people put this gateway in bridge mode and only use it as a cable modem as they prefer their existing router.

I actually need to replace my router. Using the old old linksys with custom firmware but its 10/100 router so clearly can't use that for top speeds.
reply to wayner92 Thanks for that. I don't like the range on the Hitron so I'll probably be buying a router in the near future, and that'll help me eliminate the crap!
reply to Kane Hart Its actually ~300Mbps the 250-270Mbps is simply an average between 300 and 150Mbps. Rogers is maintaining a 300Mbps standard. Obviously you won't get 300Mbps during peak hours but off peak every modem can pull 300Mbps more or less because that's the max a on 8 channel bonding. That's a pretty high standard if you ask me, I just hope they don't drop the ball on this.
reply to Kane Hart TBH, I'm not much worried about WIFI Speed but WIFI Distance. This new modem as shown in the picture above from rogers is the worst wifi modem I have ever had. Like 15 feet away in my room the connection keeps fluxuating like crazy.
