rustydusty posted : Hardware costs is about the biggest I can think of. The telco will most likely soak the cost up for all of the required hardware, which is why the rollout of GPON won't be fast. It would be future proofing, as a single fiber into a home can do everything, plus they are helping themselves out for 5-10 years down the road when everyone wants fiber.

Tech121212 posted : Hi Alex. I've recieved slow speeds and slow speeds with ethernet and also wireless. I've tried moving the router to different places, changing the channel, rebooting the router, disabling Wifi so I can use ethernet only, I've disabled the Wifi and Ethernet adapters countless times to resolve anything to do with the internet, I've rebooted after I have reset my modem/router. I've done just about anything a tech can do. I've switched the coax cables around from wall/router, router/wall...tomorrow I've got a Tech coming today to fix this problem for me I don't know if he'll be able to do anything, is there anything you suggest I do? The internet is terrible reaching to any other room, on days that it is slow it is around 2-3 Mb/s.
