personally, booze, gambling, cigarettes, and "weed" should be sold and revenue above operating costs go into the tax pool, the siphoned out through tax loopholes by people who don't even pretend to have an interest in the people. |

It will both create taxation revenue, and reduce taxation expeditures in one fell swoop.
I don't know why it hasn't happened yet (well I do, but that's another discussion altogether.)

That's the future in my opinion. It's inevitable. It would reduce crimerate and increase income through taxation a lot. The black market would still exist (it always will) but at least the nation would be profiting from it. |

Everybody else pretty much has free reign. ... but it's not legal, which means it's neither regulated nor taxed. Once it is formally made legal, that process will start.
In fact, there's stuff going on in the Town of Fort Erie right now preparing for the eventual legal regulation and taxation that will occur. Gotta replace all the lost municipal tax revenue somehow, I guess. |
