[Northeast] Tellabs 610 Replacement

I will shortly have my Tellabs 610 replaced in order to accomodate a speed upgrade to 35/35. Does anyone know what would be used to replace it? Will it be a cat5/moca Tellabs 612?

Any idea how I could find out if my location has GPON or BPON service?

Any advice on what to request from the tech?

Thanks

Most likely.

If you have a Tellabs 610, you are on BPON.
No reason that you would be switched to GPON for an upgrade to 35/35.

For what? He's going to replace the ONT with one that is adequate for your new service.

Your ONT is being swapped out to accommodate the 35 upload. The 610 is limited to 29mbps upload.

While the tech is there, see if he can upgrade your router, but since your's a business service (I'm guessing based on the 35/35 upgrade), you may be charged for it.

But if you already have decent router performance, you won't necessarily gain anything with a new one.
