[Anveo] OBI provisioning config updated

I was impressed to see a new Obi I setup on Anveo to have an updated default config to include 933 in the dial pattern for the new E911 testing feature.

Who sets the default config? Anveo? It would be nice if the default config included the optimal settings for DNS SRV and the Message Waiting indicator.

Also Anveo suggests port 5010 yet Obi sets it to 5060.

Hi,

It is not a suggestion, if you do not use 5010 you will not be able to connect to Anveo server.
Anveo is not following the norm from IANA but since they know what they are doing there is no harm in what they do. Please see well-known ports at
»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li ··· _numbers
The Anveo server is listening on port 5010 (well-known port for IBM WebSphere MQ Workflow), many other servers use 5060 which is the well-known port for SIP protocol. So, OBI's default configuration is following the standard or the well-known port value, you need to change it for Anveo.
From a Softphone in your PC, ATA or OBI point of view the remote port for Anveo is 5010 but the local port could have any value (between 1024 and 65535), the default values in the OBI1x0 are 5060 and 5061.

Settings for DNS SRV and msg waiting below:

Service Providers->ITSP Profile ? (whatever profile you have used to setup Anveo service)->SIP->ProxyServer = anveo.com

Service Providers->ITSP Profile ?->SIP->X_MWISubscribe Checked

(Optional for redundancy) Service Providers->ITSP Profile ?->SIP->X_ProxyServerRedundancy Checked

(Optional for redundancy) Service Providers->ITSP Profile ?->SIP->X_SecondaryRegistration Checked

Service Providers->ITSP Profile ?->SIP->X_DnsSrvAutoPrefix Checked

Don't worry about changing the port to 5010. Use the default value of 5060 and when Obi registers with Anveo proxy server, it will automatically get the value for the correct port from Anveo and register accordingly. You can verify on the Status->System Status page that it will register on port 5010.
