[TiVo] Tivo Channel Lineup Question

I just recently added cable service to my package, and am coming from Directv. I notice that my Tivo lists all the channels, standard and HD, so I will have channel 6 as abc, and 1006 as ABC as well. Is there any way for the system to automaticcally uncheck these channels so dupes dont show up in the guide, or do I have to do it manually?

Two ways to do it, filter your guide by only showing HD content (if that's what your after) or manually uncheck them from the guide. I spent the hour or so only having channels I subscribe to activated and in HD. It was worth my time and makes things a lot easier to navigate through.

Yeah, thats what I figured. I'll do it manually and get it over with. Thanks for the response!

No Problem. I wish RCN had an easier way to do it, like make a setting to show only HD channels by mapping the SD and HD channels together like comcast and FiOS do. It would be my only complaint, they've been excellent otherwise.

I've unchecked the channels I don't want displayed on my Tivo Q a number of times, but it never changes anything. I just assumed it was an RCN thing - like they still want you to see the shows you don't have in order to entice you to upgrade your channels or something. But I guess it's just a problem with my Tivo box!
