Marvel Heroes will feature:

- Currently in closed beta, can go to their website and sign-up to get into closed beta
- 100% Free to Play, Free to Get
- 100% online
- Story written by actual Marvel comic writers
- Similar in play control, play style and camera control to Diablo
- MMOARPG (Massively Multiplayer Action role playing game)
- Can see all other players in towns
- Can see all other players in open world
- Some instanced areas/dungeons for groups
- Guild support
- Open world events similar to GW2 that anyone can join in, can take 10+ players to bring down open world bosses
- Can switch between any of the heroes you own at will, as long as not in combat
- Game will have micro transactions: to grant instant access to other heroes you would have to work to get, boosts, skins
- All loot is instanced to you
- Instanced areas are randomized for your group
- Can grind areas for gear, loot driven game
- All heroes have own talent tree, and specific abilities to that hero
- currently 26 heroes exist to be played
- Loot does not change appearance
- Appearance is modified by loot slot, which is crafted for bonuses, and changes all together what your toon looks like
- Can play as wolverine, hulk, hawk-eye etc..
- No holy trinity
- Developed by ex-Diablo 2 developers

from my understanding you purchase Heroes the same way you purchase champions in league of legends

you have to level each hero independantly

all of the heroes are from the marvel universe, you are not generating them... there are 26 to collect

you can switch between heroes you own at any time as long as you are out of combat

if your hulk is level 10 and your wolverine is level 20, for example, it would be dangerous to use hulk if you are in a level 20 zone

not sure on all the details

Interesting that they'd go with the Diablo style game instead of standard MMO stuff. I was thinking they'd get ignored since DC Universe has the standard superhero MMO covered. Now I'm thinking I may have to play around with this.

Lets play a game!? Create your hero!

Apple-Fanboy - He would be intelligently-unintelligent. Everytime he upgrades his skills newer skills would be added to be needed. At the very least he would be easy to operate and have awesome displays.

I present my next toon: Blizzard Fan-Boy
- Has aged graphics and cartoony style but its ok because he can run on any machine.
- He doesn't upgrade because he is still the best thing out there so he says.
- He still has more subs then all f2play games combined therefore he is still the greatest.

Sorta looks like DC universe, which is also F2P and available on PS3 [not sure about Wii or Xbox 306].

I've played DC Universe for PC. Not PS3.

Besides the Heroes focused portion, Marvel Heroes is VERY different than DC Universe.

DC is more like WoW.
Marvel is more like Diablo.

DC you make a hero/villain who takes orders from Batman, Superman, Joker etc...

Marvel you actually play the hero. Don't think you can play villains.

they were very smart to go with diablo style IMO for this game, this way there is no direct competition with DCUO
