Re: [Rant] TGI Fridays charges for water. Not that I agree, but I understand how some bean counter could justify charging...
The glass will need washing, there's a cost associated to that; there was likely ice, there's a cost involved in the production of that; there's labour to bring the glass of water to you, and remove it...
So, I can totally UNDERSTAND how charging for it would seem like a good idea... but I also think (and I owned a restaurant for a short while) that it's part of the cost of doing business, and should already be accounted for in the overhead, and invisible to the consumer... |
