[iPad] Connect to power chime indicatorWhen I connect my iPhone 4 to power, it vibrates or chimes to indicate that it's connected. When I connect my iPad (3rd gen.) to power there is no indicator. Both devices are up to date. I like the indicator since sometimes when I charge the device the plug isn't seated properly (yes, I know there's a charging icon on the top of the screen). Is there a way to get the iPad to chime or vibrate, too? Thanks! |

My iPhone 5 shows a battery indicator when it is first plugged into power. Don't know about the iPhone 4.
The iPad 3 does not have any indicators; just the battery symbol on the top right of the screen. |

My iPad 3 always chimes when I plug it in. The only way I know to silence it is to mute the device. |

My iPad Mini chimes...wonder what's going on with your unit? |

My iPad 3 will chirp, not too loud, when it is connected to the iMac; not a peep when just charging. |

Most likely the mute button on the side is on. |

Nah, the volume is on. |

Does your speaker work otherwise? I had an issue with iPad3 where the thing was perpetually stuck in headphone mode...
Several restores made it work again... |

works perfectly otherwise, just no chime/vibration |

Well I dont think there is vibration in the iPad... At least I have never heard it. But it should chime on pluggin in the power. |

I assumed it would vibrate like my iPhone does when I plug it in (the ringer is set to vibrate) |

said by haroldo:I assumed it would vibrate like my iPhone does when I plug it in (the ringer is set to vibrate) But the iPad is not a phone so there's no "vibrate" -- the iPad doesn't vibrate for anything else, does it? But I should think there would be a chime if the volume isn't set to zero and if the hard mute button is off... (compare Settings>>Sounds screens on each, there's no Vibrate section for the iPad). |

Do you have Lock Sounds enabled and do those work? My Lock Sounds will not work if the mute button is on but they work fine if the mute button is off... |

Lock Sounds (nor Keyboard Sounds) didn't help |
